Unruhe è una raccolta di cinque nuove trascrizioni eseguite su strumenti storici e registrate nel loggiato del Castello di Formigine (MO). Quelli che ascolterete sono brani di Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806-1856) originariamente scritti per due chitarre che abbiamo riadattato per il duo chitarra e fortepiano. Unruhe è parte di un progetto artistico di dottorato che io, Enrica, sto sviluppando presso il TU Dublin Conservatoire, e che coinvolge nuove trascrizioni per il duo chitarra e fortepiano.
Questa registrazione nasce dal desiderio di connettere Formigine, la nostra casa, e Dublino, il luogo in cui sto esplorando la mia personalità artistica e lavorativa come ricercatrice. Questi luoghi hanno una forte influenza sulla mia attività e sulla mia identità, motivo che mi ha spinta a coinvolgere il Comune di Formigine nel processo di realizzazione di questo progetto, al quale sono grata per aver risposto in maniera così entusiasta. In aggiunta a queste registrazioni, il progetto comprende due video realizzati all’interno del Castello insieme a Giovanni Tammaro, disponibili sul canale YouTube di TouchTheSound Project.
Gli strumenti utilizzati per la registrazione di questo disco sono di provenienza viennese: Fortepiano Anton Walter del 1805 (Copia di Paul McNulty) e due chitarre terzine originali di Anton Stauffer del 1842 e del 1844.

Unruhe is a collection of five new transcriptions performed on historical instruments and recorded in the Castle of our town, Formigine (MO, Italy). These compositions by Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806-1856), were written originally for two guitars, and transcribed by us for the guitar and piano duo. Unruhe is part of a doctoral project that I (Enrica) am developing at TU Dublin Conservatoire, and that includes the transcription and recording of new works for guitar and piano duo.
This EP aims to connect Formigine, our home, and Dublin, where I explore my artistic identity as a and researcher. Because both places have an essential influence on my activity, I decided to connect them more deeply, recording part of the transcriptions in the Formigine Castle, a place of great inspiration. In addition to these five audio recordings, the project comprises two videos filmed in the Castle with Giovanni Tammaro, available on the TouchTheSound Project’s YouTube Channel.
